Guy, his brother Tom and two friends Chris Law and Mark Cawthorne will be running the Real Berlin Marathon in September to raise money for Orchid.

Mark is a fitness instructor at the Everyone Active Fitness Suite in Worcestershire and on top of his training for this years marathon he has also set up a competition; to row the distance of the Indian Ocean on indoor rowing machines.  Through June, July and August gym members can make a donation to Orchid and on their own or in teams will attempt to cover the 6,000 km distance that Guy and I will have to endure next year.

Orienteering. Guy travelled to Kidderminster, Worcestershire to take part in his first orienteering race on Sunday 6th July. A tough forest course and some heavy weather made it even more of a challenge to follow the route.  A great day out though and some good map reading techniques learnt.

Dorset Coastal Run. Guy started early on Saturday 12th at Charmouth, Dorset for a coastal relay run starting in Lyme Regis and finishing some 8 hours later on shell beach by the ferry over to Sandbanks, Bournemouth.  A big thanks to Phil and Adele from team Kerno for letting him participate in this years event

One of our silver sponsors, The Great Branding Company will be providing all our performance gear for the race, on top of this they have kindly provided us with a large number of Polo shirts & T-shirts with our logo and sponsors logos on to sell to raise money for the the challenge. 26 box loads turn up last Wednesday and after some hard graft managed to get them in the house with some help from friends and sort them all out.

We will have some photos up of the clothing in the coming week with prices for people to purchase if they so wish.  All proceeds will go to our Indian Ocean challenge. For now we just need to figure out where to put them all!
