To continue raising sponsorship and awareness for our challenge we have been attending some local business meetings. It is a good way of networking; getting us out there and meeting potential new sponsors. Women in Business kindly invited us to give a short presentation about ourselves at their August monthly meeting which was held at the Mannings heath Golf Club and kindly donated £200 towards our row.  From Women in business ‘localwebsolutions’ have kindly arranged for us to have free flyer’s and business cards designed. Guy has since been to another business morning in Arundel and we are looking to attend others in the months ahead.

 

Two friends have just return from Kenya after visiting the Samahanga Orphanage near Matayos, in the Western Province.  James has be helping the Orphanage for a number of years now and together we thought it would be a good idea to take out some of our branded Indian Ocean Rowing Race T-shirts for the children.  James and Steve also climbed Mount Kenya in 3 days, fighting through some pretty bad altitude sickness. Well done boys!
