Day 21 - 3 weeks at sea
Another day of intense rowing, Andrew and Guy continue to make good steady progress. Weather is going to pick up for the first part of the week but should ease towards the end. The boys are settling into a nice marathon routine and have decided to play the long game. Current depth is 4,500m looking to hit a ridge in the next few days so expect a depth of 2000m.
A big thank you to Jo Russell at Absolute radio who mentioned the boys on her Saturday show.

think the boys are finding a lot of time at the moment to appreciate the small things in life, as when I heard from Andrew the other day his highlight of the day had been an aeroplane passing over!!!! The support for the boys still remains to amaze me, by the comments on the blog and from chatting to people. All is being relayed to them, so big thanks. Row boys Row

It’s so good to be able to see your progress again I felt so cheated when I couldn’t see how you were doing. It’s also great to hear your comments and thoughts on how you are feeling - it makes you seem closer to us all somehow. Thinking of you - love from andy and clive

Boys, top work - keep it up. I thought that maybe you could do with a puzzle to keep you occupied over these long days, so here goes:
A boat has a ladder that has six rungs, each rung is one foot apart. The bottom rung is one foot from the water. The tide rises at 12 inches every 15 mins. High tide peaks in one hour.
When the tide is at its highest, how many rungs are under water?
Answers on a postcard…

Good progress boys- keep plodding on.
Interesting article on the Woodvale website about one of the teams getting into the water to clean barnacles off of the bottom of the boats hull to reduce drag. Something I imagine not too attractive a prospect given the stuff swimming about down there?!? Have either of you had to get into the water yet? Toss a coin for it I guess?
Anyway, heres to week 3! C’mon!

Make that week 4!

Neil, they haven’t got into the water as yet.
It’s a tricky business, however ATM they’d rather be at the top of the food chain than a part of it…

Not suprised you are bored, small chat must be a bit thin now! Need to think of some good topics…

Hey gents
You are flying! Just checked your 24h Speed and it’s quicker than one of the fours (Bexhill Trust), and what’s more you’re within a stone’s throw of Old Mutual Endurance - I knew you’d catch him! Keep going strong and keep listening to those tunes, they must be giving you some oomph!! Lots of love Chris, Ali, Jenny, Peter, Nicky, Jonathan & Alex xxx
