Day 29 It’s 18th May One month at sea!

The last couple of days have been shoddy haven’t really got anywhere.  We had the para anchor out last night which was not the greatest but then we had time to get down in the cabin watching films which we really enjoyed.

Today has been slow but we are still making some sort of headway which can’t be all bad but there is a storm coming in so we are preparing for that.  Apart from that spirits are good and we are tracking along - now for my podcast……………………..

    nice podcast…

    The intrepid girls have been clawing their way along the race track over the weekend and clearly the making of hay and rapid gains of last week have dried up for the moment.

    As Tom said, sometimes we know what’s happening to these adverse currents, sometimes not, hummmn…

    The boys are holding around 90 miles south of Southern Cross, and their distances behind have been;

    sat - 69
    sun - 81
    mon - 69
    tues - 58

    so, it’s a tough old business making forward progress for both them and SC, and SC have only one set of oars, which must make their life hellishly difficult - respect to both pairs.

    Some weather coming in over the next couple of days and our boys are prepping the boat, equipment and themselves for it, and are confident in their heavy weather tactics.

    Dear Andy and Guy,

    Apologies for the late contact, we had trouble registering for the blog. God knows what we did wrong as we seem to be the only ones!

    As you will probably already know, Man Utd are Champions again quite rightly. Sorry for any Liverpool fans that might be looking at this, well to be honest we are not sorry!

    DelBoy, when you get back i am going to treat you to another meal again at the New Curry Centre, eat as much as you want on me. That should make you row a bit harder anyway. Loved the recorded message today, fantastic stuff.

    All the best lads and speak soon

    Andy and Ian Chorlton
